Our service mechanics will always try their best to repair/maintain your e-bike on location during their visit.

 

In some cases, an e-bike can encounter an issue that cannot be repaired on location, this means we would take it to one of our service centers and have it repaired there.

 

Ebike4Delivery has a fleet of e-bikes available for our customers to borrow while their e-bike is being serviced. If we deem it necessary to take your e-bike for servicing, we will always supply you with a loan-bike so that your mobility is not impacted.

 

Note:  To borrow a bike from Ebike4Delivery during service, the bike has to be part of a leasing agreement. Bikes that have been purchased are not eligible for a loan-bike upon servicing.

To ensure your e-bike keeps functioning as well as possible, regular cleaning is required.

1. Clean the bike with water and soap. Do NOT use a high-pressure hose. Use a brush to remove caked on dirt. 
2. Wipe it dry to give the e-bike a little shine.
3. Make sure you dry the battery case and all the contact points (When you’ve cleaned bike or when it has rained) before you place the battery back in.  

 

Please note: If the battery damage is caused by water damage or a shortage caused by abnormal connection between the battery and connector, it won’t be covered by insurance.

If you are experiencing issues with your e-bike, do not hesitate to book an appointment.

 

Upon filling out a service request form, our service team will process your query and send out a mechanic to your location as soon as possible.

• Are you based in the Netherlands? Expect a mechanic to be on location within 24 hours.
• Is your business based in either Belgium or Germany? Then our mechanics will reach you within 48 hours.

Aside from receiving an e-mail on the day that our mechanic will come to your business, we also call 30 minutes beforehand to ensure that you are informed of when we will arrive (note: If our mechanics respond to a service request and are unable to provide service due to either the bike or an employee/employer being absent, a € 75, - fine might be issued).

If you have bought your bike from Ebike4Delivery, your bike falls outside of our leasing service policy. This means requesting service will always incur a € 50,- service fee.

Ebike4Delivery E-bikes frames are manufactured using a high-quality aluminum alloy. As well as being extremely light and durable the aluminum will not rust.

There are 2 different kinds of brake systems on our E-Bikes: drum brake and hydraulic disc brake. 

We provide disc front brake on all of our E-Bikes models. 

For your Gen2 rear brake, it has a standard drum brake. 

For your Gen3 rear brake, you can choose for a drum brake or a disc brake.

If a wheel is not true anymore or warped, you should immediately stop using it. This will prevent further damage to the wheel and\or axle.  

In most cases, a wheel becomes warped because one or more spokes are broken. A broken spoke will affect the wheel's ability to distribute weight evenly, potentially damaging the rim. 

Please seek assistance by filling in the service request form on our website. If you contact us, we'll get you a mechanic from our service team as soon as you notice any warping. It's an easy fix if you catch it quickly but left untreated it can seriously damage your wheel and bike. 

An airless tire will last up to 10,000 kilometers in normal use; A normal air tire lasts up to 7000 kilometers with normal use. Nevertheless, it is recommended to replace the tire when the tread pattern begins to visibly wear, or you notice a drop in performance. This happens depending on your riding style and external conditions.

The standard tyre for Gen3 is airless tyre and for Gen2+ is Schwalbe anti-leakage air tyre. 

If one of the spokes is broken, request service of damage reports from Ebike4Delivery. Fixing a single spoke is easy, but if you keep riding you can seriously damage your wheel and bike. Besides, it may affect your right to claim a warranty. 

A creaking noise from the pedals most likely means your bottom bracket is loose and needs tightening, or the paddle is not straight anymore. It's an easy fix – just fill in the service request form on our website and a mechanic from our service team will come to sort it out.

You will notice that the chain needs lubrication when it is shiny or a little rusty. Here are the steps how you can lubricate the chain: 

1. Lift the bike or put it upside down for you to be able to backpedal. 
2. Apply the lube to the inner run of the chain while backpedalling for a couple of passes. 
3. Work the oil into the chain by pedalling back a little longer.

Ebike4Delivery offers 1 time/year to renew your chain. However, to maintain the best riding experience with your Delivery-Ebike, it is recommended to clean and lubricate your chain every now and then. With regular use, you can expect your chain and cogs to last 15.000 km before it needs to be replaced. If you notice a drop in performance after cleaning and lubricating, please submit a service request on our website. A mechanic from Ebike4Delivery will assess your chain's condition and make any necessary adjustments.  

Despite the frequency at which chain lube should be re-applied depends on how often you ride, in what conditions, the type of lube used, and your attention to chain care between re-lubing. 

 

Due to the heavy use of the delivery E-Bike in general, we recommend cleaning and lubricating your bike's drive chain at least once every 2 weeks to maintain optimal performance and protection. 

If your E-Bike has a belt drive system, then there’s no need to clean and oil. Just keep an eye on the belt wear.
